Dr. Jith Palacherla, M.D.
Dr Jith Palacherla is a graduate of Kurnool Medical College in India and moved to Texas in 2000. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso TX. He moved to Atlanta in 2007 to live close to his family.
Dr. Palacherla is well known in the community for providing compassionate patient care for over 11 years as a general internist (outpatient primary care doctor) and hospitalist at Emory (inpatient hospital doctor). Dr Palacherla had a special interest and passion in kidney health, and pursued further training in nephrology at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta GA. During his training at Emory, he was involved in clinical research in Ultrasound guided biopsy of the kidney, and mandated Standardized CRRT protocol implementation at Emory Midtown hospital. Dr. Palacherla has special interest in Lupus Nephritis and chronic kidney disease. He is ABIM board certified in Internal medicine and Nephrology.
Dr. Palacherla joined Metro Nephrology in 2021. As a patient, you can expect a personal touch for a total kidney health care. He is fluent in English,Telugu, and some medical Spanish.
